About Marty Remmell

Founder and Principal Consultant

Marty approaches nonprofit management with a social capitalist perspective. She evaluates nonprofits with a keen financial eye, drawing on her experience in the government and for-profit sectors. Marty's nonprofit clients have included animal welfare, unsheltered services, education, military, and youth development organizations.

As Program Director with the 1996 Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, Marty managed a Sponsor Hospitality Village which hosted 3,000 guests daily. She also worked in Sydney, Australia for several months on the 2000 Olympic Games.

Marty lead the fund development and marketing at the San Diego Hall of Champions, helping the museum increase its annual revenues by more than 60 percent and the sponsorship revenues by more than 300 percent. She also implemented a marketing campaign for the museum to transition from a 14,000 sq. ft. to a 71,000 sq. ft facility.

Marty later became CEO of Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, an organization that empowers youth to become leaders in the community by using education and the game of golf. Marty helped raise more than $21 million and completed two capital projects totaling $4.5M. These efforts led to an increase in the organization's assets from 1.4m to $9m.

With 30 years of leadership experience with an emphasis in nonprofits, fund development, and capital campaigns, Marty Remmell has an in-depth understanding of nonprofit management and governance. Marty’s extensive experience as a nonprofit CEO, as well as her numerous terms as a board member, build the foundation for her skills in fundraising, change management, and strategic planning.

Outside of work, Marty loves cooking, gardening, the performing arts, hiking, and mentoring young adults.
